CHARACTER UNLOCKING

In this sub-guide you'll learn about unlocking each character in the game!

Starting Characters

Every new player starts with the same 6 characters unlocked by default. We decided to leave a small description of every starting character to help you choose your first main. Don't let the fact that they are free fool you, unlike other gacha games, the starting units aren't trash, in fact, some like Blue Ochaco Uraraka are incredibly strong, often perceived as stronger than many gacha-only characters.

Izuku Midorya

Excelling in mid-ranged combat, Assault role Izuku Midorya can apply serious pressure by spamming his powerful alpha charges. The character is decent in terms of power, but he's very demanding on player's aim.

Ochako Uraraka

Creating opportunities for combos and disrupt enemy attacks, Rapid Ochaco can can devastate enemies and quickly traverse the map with her alpha and special action.

Cementoss

Every quirk skill of Cementoss leaves a cement structure which makes him a chief builder of MHUR. Block hallways and entrances, reshape the map, always maintain a highground and save your teammates with instant revive with his Special Action Skill.

Mt. Lady

Survive the struggles of playing her in small form to clutch the game with a well-timed and smart use of gigantification! Mt. Lady allows you to literally stomp your opponents... unless they notice and focus you.

Shigaraki

Create chaos! Let the world burn! Shigaraki features a lot of area-of-effect abilities that become even stronger later in the game. Just beware of flying opponents, sadly, you can't decay air.

Dabi

Occupy all building and trap safe spots. Playing Dabi, you will become an ultimate shut-in gremlin. Make your enemies burn in blue flames and abandon hope all ye who enter here...

Special License Characters

By playing matches and completing missions, you will be able to level up your Hero License and your Special License. The latter unlocks 6 more characters. Most of them are definitely usable, some even considered meta. Since all these characters are free and you can easily unlock them them by playing games, we decided to give them small card-like descriptions just like we did it for starting characters.

Katsuki Bakugo

Bakugo is a strike character with high damage output who brings a lot of chaos on the battlefield. He's not easy to pick up, since his alpha is quite hard to hit, but he can stand his ground against most of the character roster.

Todoroki Shoto

Todoroki is considered to be one of the best characters of the game, his insane damage output and stunning skills make up for his lack of vertical mobility.

Tsuyu Asui

Tsuyu is an ultimate annoyance. Zoom around the map using her superior movement and chase your opponents till they beg for a quick death instead of this endless marathon. Save civilians and and revive your teammates for a more support-centric gameplay.

Himiko Toga

Are you tired of P2W aspect of the game? Screw it! Just play Toga and copy any gacha characters for free. Stab your opponets with your knives or smack them with their own quirks. And what if you have no idea how to actually use their quirks? Well, suffering is part of the fun.

Mr Compress

Fly up into the air and unload a whole parking lot on your enemies' heads. Become and absolute trickster and disappear in smoke, transport your friends and use your instant revive if you see an opportunity.

All Might

I AM HERE! Punch your opponents really hard and spin so fast you create a storm that deflects attacks. Just keep in mind this version of All Might is past his prime and he's probably the worst character on the Special License roster.

Character Ticket

Starting from here, a lot of variety in character unlock order begins, so we've decided to stop describing every character with those neat cards, but you can still learn about them in training, from character-specific guides or any other source. Some of them are decent, some aren't. A small general advice is avoiding Assault Kendo, Assault Kirishima and Twice if you are not a fan of these characters.

With Character Tickets, which you obtain from leveling up the Special License, the Research Notebook, and from some events; you can also unlock any character of your choice from this list:

Gacha-exclusive characters

For the last batch of characters, you can obtain them through Gacha Banners, make sure to look up exactly which character you can obtain in a specific banner. These characters are:
